Along the Way Bookstore
Sandy Grier, Associate in Ministry and member of Church of the Savior Lutheran Church, Williamsport, is providing the bookstore for this year’s event. Sandy began her bookstore ministry eight years ago.
Along the Way Bookstore will offer a variety of books based on our event theme and workshops, David Lose resources, seasonal books, as well as sale books, boxed cards, Terra Sancta crosses/gift items, pectoral crosses, inexpensive gift items for children (great for children’s sermons or Sunday School), reproducible books, Rose Publishing pamphlets and church supplies. Payment is by cash, check or bill your church. No credit or debit cards are accepted.
Be sure to stop by the Congregations Together in Mission Fair Trade Store on the day of the event! You’ll see extraordinary handcrafted items, sample delicious chocolate and learn about the difference your purchase makes in God’s economy. The products for the store are ordered through Lutheran World Relief. Lutheran World Relief partners with the non-profit organization SERVV to make these products available. Each Fair Trade item has been handcrafted by small-scale artisans and farmers from around the world and the fair price they receive helps them build stronger, more economically-independent communities.
Payment is by cash or check. No credit or debit cards are accepted.

Not Trying Too Hard: New Basics for Sustainable Congregations
What is a congregation for? What are members for? What are pastors for? Explore these questions in this book by Bob Sitze, an evocative and sometimes whimsical writer. Pastor Ben Leese will use the book as the basis of his “Asset-based Planning” workshop. Check out ”Not Trying Too Hard” in the Synod Resource Center or read an article on this topic by Bob Sitze at http://www.alban.org/conversation.aspx?id=2020
Highly recommended by workshop presenter, Linda Staats, this storybook Bible features a beautifully-written narrative and unique illustrations by accomplished artist Jago Lloyd-Jones. Children AND adults find this Bible hard to put down! Borrow a copy from the Synod Resource Center or read more about it at http://www.jesusstorybookbible.com/
